Founder and CEO

Ronnie Villegas is the founder and CEO of SpearTip Advisors. He works directly with business owners and CEO’s on projects intended to increase the value of their businesses. He has more than 37 years of experience as a business leader, as an advisor, and as an operator.

Prior to SpearTip Advisors, he was a Managing Director for a professional services firm where he led the Corporate Strategy, Value Creation, and Commercial Due Diligence practices for the Deals and Corporate Finance Team.

He also served as Group CFO for both House of Investments and iPeople inc., concurrently, both PSE-listed holding companies. During his time as Group CFO, both companies benefited from a significant advance in their stock prices.

The major initiatives he championed included communicating more clearly with the base of institutional investors, explaining how the growth plans of both firms promised higher returns in the context of the growing Philippine economy. This required close coordination between the senior management team and the operational units of the firms so that the messaging would be consistent and backed by execution. This cemented his track record for value creation.
